This is a project that deals with the movement of the body in space through the operation of a drawing machine. The curved metal device directs the human body to move in a certain way to rock back and forth using gravity, which is driven from research of the flying patterns of the albatross. The metal bars cutting through air along with the rocking movement resembles the relation between the air movement and the wings of the albatross. The drawing it creates documents this back and forth movement of the machine. In order to show such movement in three-dimensional space, mortar is then used as a drawing panel, in which the machine carves into. The depth of each mark reflexes the force that was put upon the mortar. And as it hardens, the drawing demonstrates this back and forth movement through time.
